April 10, 2014 - The management of Check-Mate Industries, Inc. today reported with deep sadness the passing of Thomas Vieweg, age 64, the corporation's co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Vieweg co-founded Check-Mate Industries, Inc. with Edward Kruger, Vice President, and guided Check-Mate Industries, Inc. leading it to national prominence in providing gun magazines and surgical equipment to leading gun manufacturers, law enforcement, military and the medical community's customers worldwide.

 

Jacquelyn Vieweg Santoro, Director of Legal Affairs for Check-Mate Industries, Inc., announced the appointment of Joseph De Bello as interim President and Chief Executive Officer in addition to his current role as Director, Operations.

 

The company's leadership team will continue in their present responsibilities. No changes are anticipated in the company's day-to-day business activities.

 

In a joint statement, Edward Kruger and Joseph DeBello stated, "Tom Vieweg has been a wonderful inspiration to Check-Mate Industries, Inc. and its more than 180 employees. He was also a generous and caring person who did a great deal for the community. He will be missed, but we remain resolved to maintain and expand Check-Mate's national presence as a tribute to our remarkable founder."
